Lorie Rick - Head Coach
Coach Lorie has been coaching Masters swimmers since 1982. She has coached Masters and age group swimmers at all levels, from beginning swimmers to national champions. She was named the recipient of the 1994 John B Skehan Award for service to the Niagara LMSC and the 1996 recipient of the Niagara District Age Group Coach of the Year award. Lorie has served on several USMS natioal committees over the years, including the Coaches, Fitness, and Insurance Committees.
Lorie has been coaching RAMS since its conception in 1982. Initially team practices were held at Southeast YMCA; as the team grew it relocated to MCC then Harley school before swimming at our current locations RIT and MCC. We also have long-course workouts outdoors at Genesee Valley in the summers.
As a swimmer, Lorie was a five time Jr. College All American for MCC. She has served as the meet director for several local Masters meets since 1982 and for the NJCAA College Nationals in 1995 and the 1996 USMS National 2000 Fitness Challenge.
As her Masters team approaches its 29th year, Coach Lorie is pictured with two of the team's original members: Louise and Dolly.
